Global Health Protection Programme
The GHPP leverages the core competencies and knowledge of specialised German institutions in the field of public health to support the prevention and management of health crises worldwide.
About the Programme
The GHPP is an initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Health aimed at strengthening global health protection. The programme primarily promotes networking and trustworthy collaboration between specialised German public health institutions and their partners worldwide. In this way, the programme contributes to enabling project countries and the international community to better prevent, detect and jointly respond to public health crisis.

Start of Phase II
In January 2023, the second phase of the GHPP started with nearly 40 projects. Alongside new partnership projects, many projects are building upon their successes from the first phase, continuing their strategic partnerships, and collaborating with new partners.
